This 21 year old South London ambassador, has ignited a new generation of UK rap with his neo-grime flow and progressive attitude towards commercial music. With free styles such as ‘Shut up’ and his infamous #WickedSkengManFreestyle series, which gained six-figure viewings, he has transformed the face of the new school grime scene and created a hype that can only be explained by his thousands of fans that have been attending his 2016 UK Tour - which is completely SOLD OUT!
The rapper has gained a huge amount of support from his fellow UK grime artists, including some of the forefathers of grime such as Wiley, Skepta, Krept & Konan, Lethal Bizzle and Wretch 32.
After generating a huge online presence and gaining nearly 145,000 followers on twitter, Stormzy reached the number one spot on the iTunes hip-hop chart for his first project, The Dreamers Disease! Stormzy then went on to create history with his untouchable verse on the Fire In The Booth Cypher where Charlie Sloth claimed, "A star was born".
The artist’s work rate has lead to a fast track into commercial music, with a number of his tracks being playlisted on BBC 1Xtra and Radio 1's Zane Lowe naming Stormzy as one of the Future 15 For 2015. Following this success, he has gone on to win a MOBO award for Best Grime Act where he competed against some of the icons of the scene, representing the progression of UK music.
This year Stormzy is nominated for 3 Mobo Awards competing with the likes of X Factor judge Rita Ora and ‘Up Town Funk’ producer Mark Ronson!
